mpeg 5.1 help

Forgive for my bad english. Is not got by mpeg 5.1. Only stereo.
What must be adjustment for 5.1.(That must be an installation for 5.1.)
Can adjust BeSweet or else what or?(Can adjust BeSweet, otherwise what or?)Even file лог pub_enc.exe is written stereo. Help, please, give an installation!

ALmost no DVD players support MPEG 5.1. Your best solution is to use Dolby Surround 2 channel (Pro-Logic) in besweet.

I know that not the whole support. But why this not will? If it does not work, why this is enclosed in the program.

Somebody must have wanted the option of MPEG 5.1 at some time, that doesn't mean you should use it redils.

I have never seen any home theatre equipment that really supports MPEG 5.1, if it does you can bet it will downmix it to 2 channels.

I think years ago Philips made some compatible gear for sale in Europe, but I get the impression there was very few sold.

Tick the MPEG 5.1 box on DVD2SVCD's audio tab and that's the output audio you will get. (Might need 5.1 AC3 input for it to function?)

Used to be there on previous versions, I remember trying it out just for the sake of it some time in the distant past.

(all the settings on the audio tab will be hidden if you have "use source audio" selected)

Not really worth fiddling with though.

If you do use MPEG 5.1, you need to set audio bitrate to 384K.

i had some problems in the past an DSPGuru
and some more friends help me a lot....and the conclusion was:
using 5.1 you will got strange noises(background)with low bitrates.
i don't know where is this thread now,was last year,
maybe the search(with my username or 5.1) help to find it easy!

only in this case you don't have to use the search

I have a PHILIPS MX-1060D with MPEG Multichannel, I believe Philips developed this audio format (for SACD). Approx. 5% of the DVD players (not just 1 ...) supports this feature and it works for me.
Only Multi Channel supported DVD players can handle 5.1 sound IN SVCD, so check your DVD player first before even trying this (check the multichannel logo or specs)

Using DVD2SVCD (DVD-SVCD), select a 6Ch sound stream, audio bitrate MUST be set to 384 [audio TAB and lower your movie bitrate], you MUST create an cif image using I-author [CD ImageTAB] and, if you want, convert this to cue/bin CDMAGE [Finalize TAB]. First I had a bad noise but downsampling the audio from 48 to 44.1 it was solved, however : I believe this well know clicking sound is a typical thing for this Philips player, because of a 'poor' D/A conversion.

A lot of people say to ignore the 5.1 sound and go straight for the 2CH sound (to Pro Logic) but I really like the 5.1 sound..... it's why I bought a home cinema set and not just a DVD player, it's what you prefer best !!!
