Heyo,

So has anyone else figured out what their talking about here? Does this mean there is now an easier way to go about adding forced I-frames into a divx encode, w/o editing the log file? Or does it mean we're waitting on someone to develop an application which takes advantage of this new api?

The latter.

Btw, in case you don't know the app, KeyframeEnforcer is a tool to insert keyframes at chapter positions.
Though, It currently only supports 2-pass since there was not much interest.

Interesting.

Can you like this tool please? It only works in nth pass mode, or the old 2 pass mode?

Does it just modify the log file and change the frame type from P/B to I, or does it also recalculate the bitrate used for the frame (and the other respective values in the log file?)?

Gizmo.

You can get it from my signature.
There's support for Divx5 (2-pass only) and XviD.
