:EDIT: this also works with IC 7 update 2, I'm not sure about update 3:

Instantcopy 8 users will be pleased to hear this

I've discovered a way to replace the intros with anything you want and it takes seconds

along with the other simple IFOEditing options I use to strip the content I don't want this makes the process of reauthoring before processing as simple as anything and takes minutes to do even for a beginner and throws my IFOEdit guides right out of the window

InstantCopy is the only tool that will accept these modifications but seeing as I will be using it anyway, I'm happy so I guess other IC users will be too

These methods work for me but until I get feedback I can't really say they will work for everyone but I'm sure it will for most

but at the minute I can't get feedback until it's released so I guess I'll have to wait but by then I should have guides and done more testing. If I get the time I will try these methods on IC7 as they may work

ideally some whizz would create a simple GUI to do all this with a few clicks and modify the IFO's automatically instead of manually modding the IFO's. If anyone is capable gimme a shout (look HERE (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=60884))

but even then it's ever so simple to do it manually because all you are doing is modify figures, it's just boring :)

added two rough guides HERE (http://www.deano.dsl.pipex.com/backup/prepare.htm)

one tells you how to remove cell entries and the other how to crop the start/end credits

note this only works for InstantCopy as these are very dirty IFO hacks :sly:

the DVD's may not work on a fussy standalone so try using a DVD RW 1st but they work just fine on 3 that I have tried

I would like to do a Get VTS before burning but choose not to, it's upto you whether you want to do it. I suggest you do it only if your player does not play the DVD

I will add another guide shortly that tells you how to replace the intros with another VOB of your choice

MackemX,

As always, you have proven to be a great help to those users with IC7. Thanks for all the guides you have posted, and making IC7 the program it should be.

have you tried this method yet?

it would be nice to hear someone else has had some success. If it helps one person I'll be happy

I don't think it works with update 3 of IC7 but it did with update 2
