IFO GOD wanted

this is a stupid question I know but does anyone here know how get info from an IFO, modify it and then write it back?

I've been testing IC8 and found that by changing just a few figures in the IFO you can strip the DVD without modifying the VOB's and IC8 doesn't include the crap in the end product but still creates a working DVD

don't get me wrong IFOEdit does the job perfectly but I would like something where it just shows the selected figures I'm interested in and also has the option to copy selective info to another location without having to manually enter all the figures. Manually it takes no more than a few seconds to copy the info but if it was automated then it would be instant

it would be a pre-IC8 stripping tool where you will be able to remove, copy or replace parts of the DVD with a few clicks instead of hacking the IFO manually

anyone here able to create a simple program to do this?

I´m not sure if it is even possible, usually you must demux the parts
and re-author.

I have Menuedit and it can somehow modify the VOB's and replace, remove cells without remuxing the VOB's

I can modify the IFO's manually to do the same thing and trick IC8 and DVShrink and others need more editing

I wanted was something that listed the cells and gave you the option of editing them and it would update the necessary items in Ifoedit

something like this (http://www.deano.dsl.pipex.com/temp/edit.xls) probably with more of the IFO info and then you would just edit the figures to remove the cells and end up with THIS (http://www.deano.dsl.pipex.com/temp/edited.xls)

then use Ifoedit to update all the necessary afterwards. It worked fine with IC but left the IFO's in a state as IC just didn't see the unreferenced stuff

I know I'm dreaming but it would have been nice to have it automated in some sort of way. I now have Menuedit which does it in such a fast and easy way and modifies the VOB's on the spot, leaving you to update the IFO's afterwards. This is so much quicker than the other method could ever be anyway
