System turns off, Recover?

I will start by saying this program is great, so far no problems at all for a few conversions until now and maybe isn't a programs problem.
I am trying to make a copy and at the coversion time it says about 13 hours, at about 12 the system turns off and of course is not done and the Cue and Bin files are not there.
When I re start the PC dosn't go to Check Disc, meaning that it was not a bad shut off. I replaced the Power Supply, just in case, and still the same problem.
I left the PC on for 2 days and dosn't turn off, that makes me go back to a Conversion problem.
I uncheck the "Auto Shutdown" problem still.
The other problem is that when I try to Recover it starts all the way from the begening of the conversion, even after been almost at the end.
I will like to thanks in advance any help I can get.

I'd probably say it was great, too....if I knew which program you were talking about? :D It sounds as if you're using DVD2SVCD, but let us know for sure. A baseline fix that works a lot of the time is to do a simple uninstall/reinstall, it's easy to get psych'ed out and start looking for monsters that aren't there. This happens to me more than I care to admit!

hi,
also you have to be aware of the fact that encoding video (be it mpeg1, 2 or 4) is extremely straining for a computer. so if you have overclocked your computer, you might try tuning it back down a bit.

alternatively it would also be no bad idea to do a ram benchmark, for example prime 95 run on your computer to check if your memory might be the problem!

a wild guess, but still worth checking is, if you have any power saving options enabled in windows or a tweaking utility as this might also cause problems.

anyway, it's normal that you cannot resume an encode when it was terminated when the process was still running, therefore it starts over again.

I have to agree with Steve on his overclocking assumption, especially if u encoding using CCE. I have overclocked, my now ancient, p4 1.8 to 1.99 and CCE bombed on me every now and then. When I downgraded a bit to 1.95 she was pretty much satisfied.

I don't overclock and I did check the memory and I don't have any
power savings enable.
I am going to reinstall the program tonight and try again.
I will post tomorrow with any findings.

Ok, I am back. I did what ammck55 suggested, Uninstall/install.
It works, I got to the end without tuening off.
But!
I only have one Bin and one Cue file.
What when wrong?

Ok, I went ahead and tryed something for myself.
Went to Recover/Muxing and start from there.
It works, I end with 3 BIN files, because the previous one,
I opened the last 2 with Daemon Tools, looks good.
Finaly Copy to CD and I got my movie.
