That is a very useful feature for many. I'm glad dvd2one has that. DVDFAB can do this too ...which other ones can?

I'm still smarting over their new forum join contract though, don't think I'll get over the Big Brother attitude that quickly either. ;)

Oh & btw DVD2one is by far the best transcoding software on earth and it will even clean your car! :rolleyes: (Does that qualify me Rene?)

The join feature is a nice idea. I can see using it without compression before sending it to CCE. I remember the last flipper I dealt with was a nuisance.

One question I'll keep asking whenever a new version of a transcoder comes out: does this maintain closed captions?

The join feature will allow you to convert DVDXcopy-like two disk copies to a one disk copy. More potent than it appears.

FYI - DVDShrink can "join" as well using the reauthor feature. You can also edit the start/end of the joined pieces.

That is true!!! This must be a joke, this feature in DVD Shrink is more advance. This option was implemented to DVD2One 6 month late...

You must not have been on the scene 6 months ago or you would not say that.
DVDshrink has only been able to join two discs (flippers) since 3.0 Beta
It is still in Beta not officially released. (not 6 months)

Also DVDshrink can not change the default audio and subtitles while DVD2one can.


DVD2one is still an excellent tool in it's own rights and progressing right along with others.

I had been able to joint 2 movies with previous versions of DVD Shrink. The trick was as simple as changing secondary VOB's title set with vobs from other DVD movie. Also you were able to make it using Ifoedit or Vobedit...
You must not have been on the scene 6 months ago or you would not say that... My friend I had been processing, re-encoding, authoring DVD's, creating s/vcd's, for about 5 years ago (not just 6 month).

Yes YOU can do many things but DVDshrink in itself could not earlier.
DVD2one does not require you use any "trick", so I stand by the statement that dvd2one is making progress.

Yeah... and if DVD Shrink would finally get rid of the annoying layer-break (THE joke of the century!!), the software would actually be *useable*! :D

Therefore: DVD2one is still the tool of choice!

The new default audio/subtitle selector (perfect for forced subs in an extra stream!) in 1.3.0 is great and can not be found in any other tool.

I not so sure if DVD2One is the only tool that gives the option of an audio/subtitle selector because doesn't DVDFAB also give this?
