converting from hard drive

I have search the site but cant find the answer. If I start dvd2svcd it will rip to the HD and then convert the dvd, all on its own. How do I rip to the HD for later conversion:confused:

You'll need to go over the DVD2SVCD guide, it's very well thought out and explained, you shouldn't have a problem as long as all of the mandatory programs are installed correctly. This link came from the Guides section of the forum's homepage.

Press the Disc button and DVD2SVCD will automatically load the main movie IFO file. If you're satisfied with your settings at this point, hit the "Go" button, then select "Rip only" from the dropdown menu, allowing you to save the file to a directory of your choice and doing the conversion at a later time. If you intend to "rip and convert" another disc later, don't forget to re-set this option. :) When you get more familiar with the program and its settings, you may want to work with batch conversions, but that's another story.
