Hi all,
I am trying to back up a nice british serie on DVD.
The episodes are located in vts_05_1.vob til vts_05_07.vob, one after the other one, in a row.
When I play the DVD, at the end of an episode, the next one starts right away. There are 7 episodes, but there is no correlation between the vob id and the episode number.
So, I follow this great guide: DVD-9 to DVD-5 "Full Copy" Instructions (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/maestro2.htm)
So I rip with DVDRipper what it identifies as "the movie": video and subs streams as direct stream copy, and audio demux to file.
I rip the chapters and the subs. Create the dvd2avi project without demuxing audio (since i already have it). I create the vfapi file for CCE, and then I run One pass on the mpv file with CCE.
Now, time to reauthor the episodes back toghether with maestro, load the new mpv, the ac3, the chapters and the subs. Then I compile.
Now, I rip all the ifo/bup and vts_05_0.vob from the original dvd, and add my vts_01_x.vob episode files created with maestro to it, renaming them to vts_05_x.vob.
I run ifoupdate, (original ifo: vts_05_0.ifo, new ifo: vts_01_0.ifo), and everything goes fine.
When I play the first episode, everything is fine. Same with second episode. But, when i start playing episode 3, 4, 5, etc... I can notice a small delay on the sound AND subs. This delay is very small in episode 3, and starts growing longer as i play the rest of the episodes.
It's not a problem that comes after ifoupdate, since i can notice the problem already when playing the vob files dvdmaestro authored.
So, what am I doing wrong? how can i solve this issue?
