View Full Version : How to change my Mpeg2 Default Decoder

I recently installed the Mpeg2 plugin for Nero and now whenever I try to open a mpeg2 file in Windows Media Player I get a blank screen.

I checked the properties tab in Windows Media Player 6.4 and under the filters used list Ahead Mpeg Video Decoder is listed as the Mpeg2 decoder being used.

Is there anyway to change the default decoder? I seem to recall seeing an application released some time back that could do what I am asking, but can't remember the name of the application.

Please Help!!!

Thanks

DXMAN from www.analogX.com will allow you to unregister it.
I don't know though if Nero wil re-register it the next time you start it up....

maa,

I really appreciate the reply. I was at my wits end. I tried everything I could think of to repair it. The trick with ZoomPlayer worked. I had forgotten about that capability.

Again...Much appreciated,
