How To Completely Blank Out a Multi-PGC TitleSet (Version 2 Optimized)

Jan 23, 2004 Update: Optional steps has been added to Steps 2 and 3 for people who want to keep original Number of Programs and Cells intact and have them all blanked out. Details in steps mentioned. ;)
This is almost a lot like my original Version 2, which has now been replaced with this guide in this thread, but with 2 less steps. All I changed in this guide was our Destination Directory in Step 3. Instead of using another folder to store you new VOBs, I had you just strip the files into the same directory your movie is also in.
This is a lot quicker way to completely blank out this TitleSet. In my Version 1 (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=60542), I had you create a custom multi-cell blank VOB. In this guide, we’ll just use a "single" VOB. So let’s get started.
In this guide, I used IFOedit 0.95.

1. We need to replace our TitleSet VOBs (excluding 0.VOBs) in question with a single cell blank VOB. This VOB will have a VOB Id: 1 and a Cell Id: 1. Download this ZIP (http://www.deano.dsl.pipex.com/backup/files/BLANK_VOBS.zip) file from me, courtesy of MackemX. There’s a file inside called “1_BLANK_CELL.VOB”. It already has a VOB/CELL of 1/1 so all you need to do is rename it, in our case, as VTS_03_1.VOB. Make sure that it is in uppercase. After renaming, you can now replace this VOB with the original VOB set. You should have only a VTS_03_1.VOB in your Titleset.
Note: The Zip file I had posted originally only has NTSC blank VOBs. If you need PAL VOBs, here's another link, courstesy of MackemX.
http://www.deano.dsl.pipex.com/backup/vobid/complete/complete.htm NTSC VOB's.ZIP or PAL VOB's.RAR. Inside these files, you'll find a VTS_0X_1.VOB, which only has a single VOB-ID and CELL-ID. That's what you'll use in this guide. ;)

In Figure 1, I have a Titleset 3 that has multi program chains (PGCs) which each having more than one cell. Using IFOedit, this is how our VTS_03_0.IFO / VTS overview looks like.

We want it to look like Figure 2. Notice how every PGC has been replaced with a 15 millisecond (ms) blank VOB? It's just about a 10 KB black disply that is so quick in playing, you hardly see it. clip

This is what we need to accomplish and here’s what we’ll do.

2. Browse to our VTS_03_0.IFO / VTS_PGCITI / VTS_PGC_1 in IFOedit. At the top of the page, we’ll have this.
Number of Programs....3
Number of Cells.......3
Optional: If want to keep all your original Number of Programs and Cells, you can. But, I still highly recommend you don't. Doing it this way will still work and DVD Structure is still intact but it will take a while for title bypassing to occur, especially if you had more than one cell. Just tell yourself which is quicker...one blank cell or 2? ;) But if you want to, then skip this step.
Double click on each line and change both values to 1.
Number of Programs.... 1
Number of Cells....... 1

3. Now, still on the same page, scroll down to the bottom section, Cell Position in VOB. We need to only edit Cell_1 if you have more cells in this PGC. So again, Double click on each line and change both values to 1. This is to reflect the changes you done above.
Cell_1: has VOB ID.....1
Cell_1: has Cell ID....1
Optional: Perform only this if you had skipped Step 2 and kept your original Number of Programs and Cells intact. Now, to have all your cells referenced to your inserted blank cell VOB, do this for every cell in this table.
For example...
Cell_1: has VOB ID.....1
Cell_1: has Cell ID....1
Cell_2: has VOB ID.....1
Cell_2: has Cell ID....1
Cell_3: has VOB ID.....1
Cell_3: has Cell ID....1

4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for every VTS_PGC_# you have. We want to completely blank this TitleSet out.

5. Save IFO and BUP (optional)

6. Open up VTS_03_0.IFO in IFOedit and press your “VOB Extras”. Have these settings checked. Click OK when done.

X Correct Vob-Unit (Navigation Pack) pointers in VOB-files
X Correct original IFO files
VOB Expert Options
X Remove P-UOps
X Remove Macrovision
X Adjust Vob-Unit pointers
X Adjust Audio/Subp point.

Destination directory: (browse to our “NEW” folder) See Note
Remember to uncheck your “AutoCopy Menu-files to destination”
Note: If IFOedit says to select a different directory, then create another directory and browse to that.

7. Uncheck all streams and “Correct IFO tables” should be checked by default. Click “Strip it” button to start process.

8. Wow! That was quick! :p Anyways, you’ll now have a message box saying “Finishing correcting VOBU pointers!”. Click OK.

9. Close IFOedit

10. If you had a different directory for your new files (Step 6) then select all your files in that directory and drag them into your original directory. Click "Yes to All".

11. Open IFOedit and select any IFO. Press your “Get VTS sectors” button. Click Yes and OK.

12. Press your DVD Play button to test out our new product.
