I've always used con3d, it's good at not killing your edges.

Convolution3d for avs 2.5 has temporal influence disabled. A good filter to start with is something like deen, which has a modes like convolution3d. It should be easy to find if you search the forum.

right now i use Convolution3d with "animehq" cuz its fast and i use deen some times its better than Convolution3d but realy slow unlike Convolution3d that almost gives me the same speed on my 2.4 pc
normal: 25~32 fps
Convolution3d: 19~24
Deen("a3d",2,10,10): 12~17

can you post your script?
I have a the setup below and I'll be very lucky if I get 10fps.

i use a simple script cuz i'm aming for speed
Telecide(guide=1).Decimate(5,mode=2)
LanczosResize(640,480)
Convolution3d(preset="animeHQ")
aWarpSharp(15)
divx 3.11 divx 5 : 16 fps
xvid : 7 fps
those speeds were for 512,384 and i didnt use awarpsharp

That's true for the YV12 version only. There's a YUV2 version of Convolution3D, which has been recompiled for AviSynth 2.5x; its temporal influence is enabled.

I always used DNR2 and 2DCleanYUY2.Because it developed in Japan and all plugins that was good in anime!!
However, many many anime produced in Japan. So,it gave me some feeling that Japan developed plugins for anime was good.

Ah yes, I forgot about the yuy2 version, thank you for correcting that. But personally I like to keep everything yv12, unless im using a filter like mftoon which requires many color space changes (but greatly increases the quality of the vid in terms of sharpness). That's why I'd still go for something like Deen, personally I use vaguedenioser followed up by deen's a3d. I lose very little detail (obviously I have to preview the vid and adjust the settings, and the detail lost is only a bit on flat surfaces).

mftoon can be used in all yv12 thanks to the past upgrade of masktools, so no reason to stay in yuy2.
as far smoothers, i can recommend convolution3d as well. and, while its effects are sometimes difficult to notice (but that math notices), dustv5's pixiedust is phenominal.

Is the latest 2dcleaner designed for 2.5? I just checked the page and it's still the old version.

Why is that important for you? Just load it via loadpluginex.dll after all avisynth2.5 plugins (just remember to NOT put loadpluginex in your plugindirectory). :)
