I'm new owner of Pixelview PlayTV/HD. This card promises a lot (CX23881) but only when works. Delivered software is bad, I'm not interesting in tuner software, my intention is to use it as capture card for (s)vhs source. I tried this card on one PC with XP SP1 (athlon 2500+, 1G RAM, 200+60 GB HD, ATI RADEON 9000 VIVO...)
Drivers and software for XP are installed (and deinstalled) according manual, I downloaded drivers from prolink site (USA and TW site don't have identicall software) but without success. I tried virtualdub, Virtual Vcr, Videocapture part of Ulead Media Studio Pro, ATV2000, amcap. PoverVCR, Power Director - there is no one from this bunch which works fluently with my card (VideoCapture - UMSP 7.0 crashes immidately during start, I can't see even starting window). Virtual VCR & ATV2000 gave me results, but after a lot of different settings with preview, filters, capture pins etc. Captured AVI (+huffy) is nice, much better than other made with SAA7130, ATI THEATER, BT 878 chip based cards. This card has nice contrast, brightness, hue, saturation and sharpness adjustments and picture and avi are definitly much better than other tested cards.
I'd like to install better WDM drivers, somewhere I red about 1.09 version of drivers but can't find them.
Please your expirience with this and other cards based on CX 23881 Conexant chip.
Thanx in advance

Try WM9Cap from MicroSoft.
It works for me.
