I ordered a 50 pack spindle of 4X DupEZ's.
anyone else try them? They got good marks at vcdhelp.com.
I will report my results later once I get them.
Of course I won't use my stupid pioneer dvd-rom drive to test them anymore :)

I've been very pleasantly surprised by the 1x dupez's from Rima. I've been burning them at 2x in my DVR-104 and they work better than any budget disk I've used before such as Opto, Princo, Beall, etc.
Kprobes look much better than Princo's, but of course not as good as Riteks. I hope the 4x dupez's work equally well. I'll be moving to a 4x burner one of these days.

I think they're due in tonight.
I will try out the dupEZ's and post some speed test results.
Going to 4x is so nice...its such a trip burning a DVD in 15 minutes or less. quite nice :)

So far so good! But my image wasn't greater than 4 gigs, so its not a perfect test yet. Still up to the 4 gigs, it came through perfect. Here is a screen shot of my speed test results using the DupEZ media I got from rima.com

Where did you find a 50 pack or less of these?
All I can find is 100 packs and I am not sure I want to
put out that kind of money on a test set.
I would prefer to pay a little more for a trial pack
of 25 or if needed 50.
Have you tested the Bealls as well?
Please post more results as I need to find an alternative to Ritek 4X -R discs since they are flaky in my Sony. I need -R's, long story.
Thanks,
Mark

At Rima, click on the 100 pack. At the bottom of that screen you'll see an option for a 50 pack. Took me a while to figure this out myself.

Alright I bit. I picked up a 50 pack of the 4X -R's. Let us now see how these work with the Sony DRU-500A with 2.0f firmware.
I will be interested to see how these compare to the 1X Riteks and the 4X TDK/Ricoh +R discs.
After shipping $1.16 a disc for 4X isn't bad if they work.
I found a place on Yahoo shopping that had them for the same price as Rima, but shipping was $2 more and they were an unknown to me.
Although their reller rating was good.

Thats the number one reason I pay more for ritek.
I would love to pay more for 4X Riteks, but they are unreliable with the Sony drives. Some get them to work while others can't get them to burn at better then 2X. Some even have problems reading the discs with the Sony drive. Check out media section on vcdhelp and you will see a hit or miss situation.

I guess I should have given more details. :o I have a Pioneer DVR-104 and I use G03 $1.12each at 100 pack and I would love to buy DupEZ $79.00 for a 100 pack if I knew for sure my data would still be good after 6 months. Thanks
