thanks guys for the help and the guides ive had a few problems over the past few days and ive managed to sort them out.
buit i have 1 question when cce starts to encode it shows the audio as joint stereo 256kbps what about the 5.1 1000 or so kbps it should be doing or am i missing something?

Disable audio encoding (uncheck box), you don't need/want it.

For DVD-R you just use the original audio extracted by DVD2AVI.

For SVCD you'd use mp2 audio encoded by toolame/besweet.
