Hey, I'm looking to buy a new pack of DVD-R's. I've gotten a 100pk before, maybe 6-7 months ago of Ritek 1x DVD-R's for $88 after shipping. Unfortunately I can't find a similar price for this at all, the only thing I'm seeing in that price range are Princo, Optodisc, Accu, and DVDPro. I know some people have some very strong opinions about some of these companies, so I wanted to see what people's advice was. The cheapest I've been able to find a 100 pk of Ritek's has been for $112 before shipping. I'm not thrilled about going that high, but I don't want discs going bad after a few months on me either.

I think they are worth it....I might go with Leaddata disks though. Or Beall's...but I'm not sure I'd risk optodisk and I'm damn sure I wouldn't risk using princo

Get the Riteks. I got screwed with a bad batch of Princo - still suffering with a handful of skipping discs; will never go back to them. Ive had very good luck with the Ritek G04 on a pioneer 105, Yes, they cost even more than the G03. However, one bad disc costs me more in headaches than the cost difference. My own philosophy on the 4x is these are best and 1st grade discs; those that can't pass 4x get shuffled down to lower grades.

well, I bought a 100pk for about $120 after shipping, I guess I'm paying extra for peace of mind if anything else. I've yet to have the Ritek's I have right now to go bad except for one that suffered an accidentely high level of abuse. Thanks for leading me away from the dark side
