To the devolopers of GKnot, can u include the use of AAC machine/Besweet along with regular mp3 encoding.And/Or a method by which some other audio compression can be used like Divx audio etc.ThanX

the question is: can VDubMod mux aac/mp4 soundtracks ? Coz if no, then encoding to it makes no sense...

I have tried to mux mp4 stream to avi using Vdubmod using the option mp? !.As i donot have the 3ivX splitter i could not playback it correctly. So far i think it will be able to mux the mp4 tracks, but u need to find out the overhead required. If u could include it u need to provide the filter along with the codec pack.ThanX.Good Work !;)

VdubMod can not parse MP4 files, not for video and also not for audio streams.

In best case Cyrius could add it by reading it from an MKA file, as VdubMod can parse MKV already and soon Mosu should have mkvmerge ready so it can mux AAC from MP4 into MKA.

In any case, this would require to add mkvmerge win32 binaries to the GKnot package only for the MP4 --> MKA transmuxing process, plus an AAC encoder version of BeSweet, not sure if len0x would want to go for that, with respect to the current file size of the existing GKnot package already, he might tell better ....

a tool in the hydrogenaudio's rarewares section uses nero dll's to encode wav->aac in the commandline. I think it could be easily added to gordianknot (dunno about that muxing though?).

here's a snip from the site:
A great tool is now being hosted at RareWares: NEncoder, by darp, is a command line utility that uses the Nero AAC DLLs to encode wave files from the command line. It's available at the AAC section.

sorry u l337boyz, that site has nothing to do with w3r3z :D:D:D

First of all thanks everybody for the immediate responses.
I had started different threads concerning AAC/mp4 and i learned from the responses is that OGM and MKV can support AAC/mp4!.As the next version of GK is believed to support these formats,I would like to know whether it can use AAC/Mp4 only for MKV and OGM using their command line tools for muxing different streams. As avi could not hold AAC at its present state, the other formats can exploit it.As all kinds of playback and muxing utilities are available,my humble request to lenox is to include AAC audio for OGM/MKV.Thanks:D

All I can tell you is that it will only be supported quickly if VDubMod supports it. I have no plans at the moment to include whole bunch of new tools for muxing...
Although feel free to submit it as request as SF.
