Artefacts near the right edge of the frame

Please help me to get rid of these 'dancing' bright squares near the right edge.

Nth pass method with 2 passes

Source DVD was PAL 25 fps 704x576 (GK's 'auto crop' shrunk it to 702x320). Then I encoded it into 704x288 divx. Maybe these two extra horizontal pixels cause the artefacts?

Encoded again at 672x272 - no luck either. ;-(

Encoded using XVID - artefacts are still in place. Though, if I open the .vob files in a player, the entire picture is clear.

You're a persistent fellow, aren't you? Good. What happens when you open the .avs in VDubMod and scroll around before doing the encoding? Do you see the artifacts? And have you tried to adjust the crop values to see if the artifacts go away? For example, what happens if you crop to 700x320? There's a good chance that your crop values have to be mod 4 (divisible by 4).

And for the first time since you posted I was finally able to see the frame in the link. That may be one reason why there have been no answers. Do you have the blocks all the way through it, or only in a very few places?
