i have read that the use of raid for capturing is more trouble than it is worth...can anyone with experience of this enlighten us please..

is it worth while...would it corrupt the harddrives, data, etc....

Also whats the benefit of SATA besides the cabling??? and the 15mB buss thru put

thanks

My expirience says definitly no troubles with capturing & RAID 0 configuration ( 2 x 120 GB maxtor, 272 Highpoint onboard controller on epox mb EP-8K9A2+). All applied benchmarks give about 20% higher transfer speed in comparison with normally connected hd's.
