Hi !
I have an dvd with this structure :
http://utenti.lycos.it/woofer/xm.gif
When i author with ifoedit the movie becomes 25 sec longer boh ... !
When i play the vob01 plays correctly . When i play from the ifo the film IS sych (audio/video) but its longer. With the term longer i mean that if the vob1 plays the scene A at time 0:10:00.000 the scene A played by the ifo is on time 0:10:25.000 !!!!
So when i add AND THE SUBS the subs are 25 sec ahead :(
Do you know something about that ?
Ps : The move hasnt any additional 25 sec trailer ... what shall i do ?

if the vob1 plays the scene A at time 0:10:00.000 the scene A played by the ifo is on time 0:10:25.000 !!!!
Does the film played by the IFO start with time 00:00:25.000?
If it doesn't, watch the film comparing the time with a chronometer or something like that: does the time suddenly jump 25 sec ahead somewhere?
Or does it flows faster until it gets this difference? (I don't know if it's possible...)
Does the movie play slower in some sequences?
Have you watched all of it? Is there any blank / freezing sequence somewhere, that lasts 25 sec.?
Actually I've never authored a DVD with IFOEdit, so I don't think I'll have an answer for you (sorry :o ), but I asked you some questions just to better understand some aspects of your weird problem, which in my opinion weren't clear.
I hope this can help you ;)

But in what way it doesn't play with the correct / original time? I can't understand...
If the film starts at 0:00:00.000, it must happen "something" during the film that changes the time. Try to watch the VOB writing down at what time some particular scenes you choose play, and then compare this times with the one you obtain watching the film with the IFO.
You should find the first scene that has a "wrong" time, so watch carefully the film between that scene and the previous one you chose.
You should find something strange right there (have a look at the part of IFO that refers to that chapter / cell)

i did that !!!! in the scene at 00:02:0 its a man with a pistol plaing from the ifo . Playing from vob its a next scene !
Looking back to the original dvd the correct time is that of the VOB and not that from the generated ifo ... boh

Are you using the original IFO or a recreated one?In this case compare your new IFO with the original DVD's one as for that point (cell time, sectors and so on...). Do you notice anything strange?
BTW, why are you reauthoring with IFOEdit if you have the original DVD? (if I can ask, of course :p )

ok to make it to you clear :
Original IFO : Scene A at 00:01:00.000
Original vob1 : Scene A at 00:01:00.000
Authored IFO : Scene B(wrong) at 00:01:00.000
New Vob1 made by ifoedit : Scene A(correct) at 00:01:00.000
I have a dvd but it hasnt any greek subtitles. I wand to reauthor it in order to put them .
If i didnt want to put subs the film will be synched (audio/video) but if i add subs the gap of the new IFO shows up !!!

Open the original IFO and the authored one in IFOEdit and compare them.
Have a look at VTS overview: there must be a difference, you must have a cell in your authored IFO that is 25 sec. longer than the corresponding cell in the original IFO.
Try to correct like this (I don't know if it really works):
Open your original IFO, go to VTS_PGCITI-->VTS_PGC_x (x is the PGC with the "wrong" cell).
Go to the Cell Playback section and write down the value you find at Cell_? : playback time (BCD)
Open your authored IFO, go to the same point, double-click on the value and change it to original value - 64 (for PAL countries, since you're Greek; I think it's original value - 192 for NTSC countries).
Save.
However my suggestion is to carefully watch all the film by your new IFO, 'cause only 2 possibilities can exist:
There are 25 sec. filled with something else (but you told me it's not like so)
The time counter goes on faster than "real time" or it suddenly jump ahead somewhere in the film (so watch it carefully)
i think its the 2nd one ! Now look how i fixed the problem and tell me if you can why this happens ...
I DELETED the hole project . I ripped/demuxed the dvd with dvddecrypter with IFO MODE picking only the PCG1 with the main movie and WORKED like a charm !
Before i used the VOBEDIT in order to extract the m2v ...
I think that has to do with the M2V TIMECODE wtch i putted to 0 on dvddecrypter.
How about that explanation ? has sence ? Thx anyway ! From now on i will use dvddecrypter and non vobedit . The only bad thing in the hole story is that decrypter picks the default pgc and not the hole movie with the extras .
Btw im in your country ;) e posso parlare la tua lingua ;)

I'm sorry, but I have no experience with demuxing, so I cannot help you with this timecode issue, but I'm sure someone who well know VOBEdit will help you (I use it just to join clips).

It's OK! It seemed to me obvious that you were in Greece, since you want to add Greek subs to your DVD, but there is always more than meets the eye...
maybe you are a Greek guy who moved to Italy, or you have Greek relatives, or, even better, a Greek girlfriend :D (I don't want to know, non voglio ficcare il naso nelle tue cose ;) )
Just...good luck with your backup, see you on other threads!
