Hi all,

I'm using VirtualDubMod as an intermediary in order to be able to frameserve into the MainConcept encoder, which does not accept .avs scripts. I open my .avs script in VDubMod and then immediately frameserve the file without doing any alterations in VDubMod. Does this present any problems re: color space conversions, or will the files stay in the YUV2 space?

Regards,

Patrick

Try using ffvfw - it provides fake AVI creation. Vdub will always convert your material to RGB.

Thanks. This works fine but are there any implications re: the codec, or doesn't it matter? In MainConcept it shows up as a DirectShow import. Does that mean it forces me to use Microsoft's codec?

The VFW codecs installed on my system are Canopus and Mainconcept.
