Hi!

I hope this hasnt been mentioned before (I checked the forum), if yes, dear moderator, please delete this message.

I have problems generating xvid encoded material with low fps, e.g. 2fps (I need that for screen capture videos).

I tried all stable and unstable bin releases mentioned in the xvid faq (Koepi, umaniac, nic). Encoding using vdubmod works fine. But when I play the movie not only media player or core player crashes, but also the windows explorer. 5fps seems to be the magic wall, this problem doesnt apear for movies >5fps.

The only encoder, I found that doesnt have this problem is ffvfw.

I've never used XviD for such low framerates before but I'll try it out...

EDIT: I can encode the 2fps file easily enough, but when I play it back I get a green screen, and then grey with some funny lines. Completely garbled. I even tried with no motion estimation, every frame as an I-frame (min and max interval as 1) and turned off everything (no qpel, no trellis, nothing. Trying 5fps...

EDIT 2: 5fps using the all I-frames and no motion estimation/compensation and everything turned off works. Decodes perfectly.

I've just tried with all options on with a constant quant at 5fps and it works fine. I don't know why 2fps b0rks.
