Recently, I have had big problem with d2s at the final stage, CD image building.

I often get this message "VCDXBuild failed to create a bin/cue file!"

I went back to play the muxed .mpg files and they always play fine. So there is nothing wrong with the .mpg files.

I used crash recovery to fix this problem. Some times it takes several attempts. The one I worked on tonight took me 6 tries and get the cue/bin files completed. For each of the first five tries, VCDXBuild stopped at different points!!! I wasn't even using the computer, so it is not like I was running out of memory (I have 1 GB PC2700), and Win XP did not freeze either.

Does anyone have idea what is wrong?

i just had this too...................

first bin and cue made just fine but failed when trying to make second disc.

after investigating i found that the second muxed.mpg was 1gb in size????

but i was warned b4 i started that using 1 pass vbr dvd2svcd would not be able to accurately predict the file sizes.

i guess this is what went wrong with mine?

just trying it again (1pass vbr) but i have altered the bitrate a bit and increased the cdsize to 800mb from 795mb.

I use TMPG CQ, and file sizes are fine. The funny thing is I used crash recovery to resume the VCD authorizing step, it eventually get image created (sometimes take several retries).
