is this illegal to talk about?
I mean, wouldn't it be the same thing as "backing" up a dvd?
I just ask cuz a thread was closed in a diff section of this forum.

Yes, on this forum, I assume this is a non acceptable question/discussion as this is a video (not game) backup help forum. I am not sure why the previous thread you are referring to was closed so abruptly without explaination. (I am figuring you are referring to the thread below)

Aside from that, you can always go over the forum rules ( http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm ) and see if you violated any of those.

i don't think there's actually a rule or sticky saying a dvd must be video and not data; have you try cdrwin, it works for psx/(s)vcd/ data cd, maybe it also works for ps2 games.

sorry to disappoint you guys, but this forum is solely dedicated to dvd video backup and other methods of digital video editing and storage. by no means backing up ps2 games has got any place around here.
i won't close this thread for now, but if the discussion goes on about how to back up ps2 games i certainly will!!

I heard that www.p2ownz.com has a pretty good forum on this and other PS2 related things :sly:

You might want to check cdrom-guide.com out under ps2 or xbox. I know ps2 you can make 1:1 backup copies and on xbox, you need a special program.
