I have a problem with Scenarist and subs.
It starts, imports Video files, Audio files and Subs files then when it going to start the multiplexing stops and the message window says:

Info Multiplexing
Info Multiplexing VOB Main Stream
Error Subpicture[1] (1:el100010.bmp.sp) and (2:el100011.bmp.sp) offset are overlapped (00:00:00;00-00:00:03;17) and (00:00:00;00-00:00:01;09)
Error dvd_mux : Open Mux_list File Error
Error Terminated Multiplexing (movie0.scn-Encoded_Video_CCE_PAL-t_t.vob).
Error Wrong mux_list. Mux_list format or stream ID may be wrong.
Error Multiplex is failed.
Info Multiplexing failed, Track<Encoded_Video_CCE_PAL-t>

Error MuxFromDB:MuxVTS failed
Error Multiplex failed
Error DVD files could not be created

1) What is the problem?

2) I use Dvd2Svcd 1.2.1 1b and Scenarist Pro 2.7.0.0241
With these two can i make DVD copies with DTS audio?

I have no answer since now. All other movies I made worked OK. The only defference is that now I use DVD2SVCD 1.2.1 b3. Maybe it was something wrong with the movie itself and not a Scenarist error.

Yes, I think its something with the movie. The first VOB film of the main movie doesnt start with the usual intro. The sound however starts with the sound of the intro. The encoded video begins somewhere in the middle of the movie while the sound starts with the intro. I can understand that the subs get mixed up somehow. When putting the video, audio and subs back together again, all goes wrong and errors appear in Scenarist.

The only way to get things straight is to get the video in the right order before the encoding process. I ripped the DVD in file mode. Should I use IFO mode?

You could try ripping directly using DVD2SVCD's internal routines. This is recommended for strangely authored discs.

Humm..
The movie that was screwing up was not encrypted so I bypassed the ripping altogether. Oh well, the backup was created fine with Shrink. Chalk it up to being a "strange - non standard" disc.

Thnx for the tip BobWillis, I will try it as soon as I have the particular DVD back!

Well....the story continues....

I tried another movie which has the video and audio in chronological order. When letting DVD2SVCD building it all in Scenarist I get the Layout Failure Message again.

Error Subpicture[1] (7:en100008.bmp.sp) and (8:en100007.bmp.sp) offset are overlapped (00:00:39;03-00:00:41;00) and (00:00:39;11-00:00:41;00)
Error dvd_mux : Open Mux_list File Error
Error Terminated Multiplexing (movie0.scn-Encoded_Video_CCE_PAL-t_t.vob).
Error Wrong mux_list. Mux_list format or stream ID may be wrong.
Error Multiplex is failed.

Error MuxFromDB:MuxVTS failed
Error Multiplex failed
Error DVD files could not be created

No clue what it could be. Something wrong with overlapping subtitles. Seems like 2 different subtitles want the same place at a certain moment in the movie.
