Hey everyone,
I've been a big fan of doom9 for sometime but now I am finally posting. After much consideration I chose DVD Lab for authoring and image creating of my DVDs (I use RecordNowMax to burn the images) I LOVE DVD Lab but there is a problem. Because I choose the letterbox option it puts thin boxes at the top and bottom of the DVD. Is there either:
A. Anyway to fix this (I'm not sure what pan and scan is but isn't it 4:3?)
B. Any alternative anyone has used and knows works like DVD Lab, I used it for backing up some DVDs but I tried out my encoding skillz by going from VOB to AVI to M2V for the video (and obviously back to VOB when DVD Lab makes the image). Audio is easy so I can encode that myself outside the programs.

Thanks for your time everyone. Keep up the goodwork everyone who has submitted here at doom9. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be makin' DVDs or SVCDs.

DVD Lab is a one man operation (Oscar).
He's made some great programs and is working at all of them all of the time. He has metioned that DVD Lab will eventually suport multiple VTS. If however the source material is already mpeg I prefere to mux with IfoEdit and just make the menues with DVD Lab.
I wrote guides for doing this as it circumnavigates all the audio and muxing issues that DVD Lab is currently having. For one film you can use this guide:A Simple Menue - easy! (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=56225)
For multiple VTS - this one:
Making a multiple VTS with Ifoedit for a Menu produced with DVD Lab (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=58791)

Sure this means a bit of work but to my knowledge you wont find a better combination for that money.
