Well guys I am fairly new on the scene of authoring DVD's (I have done a bunch of backups and shrinks using cce&DIF4U some splits using dvdfab) and I am having a problem doing a conversion between PAL>NTSC on the movie Dune. I got this movie because it has all the extra footage (smithee cut) and it's simply not available in the US (that I could find). In the forums here I found these:

The first one looks promising and currently main concept is working on it.
I would like:
-To retain as much video and audio quality as possible (it's bad already, old), this means I will likely have to split to two disks due to the sheer length of the movie.
-I don't care about subtitles or extras or the menu for that matter
-If not to incredibly hard I would like to retain the chapters, not a must though.
The instructions below are a little vague, can anyone expand on them if they think they are apropriate and add in what I need to do to split?
PROCESS:
1. Rip the Movie-only in file mode with DVDdecrypter
2. Rip the AC3 audio from each VOB using DVD2AVI
3. Convert each the 25 FPS/PAL VOB's to 29.97 FPS NTSC MPG's using Main Concept Encoder.
4. Use Tmpeg Author to remux the NTSC MPGs and AC3 audio to usable
DVD vobs and IFOs.
