View Full Version : DTS Audio?

Is DTS audio supported with DVD2SVCD? I just ripped a movie with DTS audio and attempted to keep the AC3 and DTS audio and the DTS audio seems to be missing from the work folder.
Thanks and thanks for the effort on this program. Hopefully I can retire DVD2DVDR.

Hmm.. maybe I need to try another movie then.. Chicago is giving me fits. Even after ripping it without DTS audio it crashes Scenarist when importing.
Thanks!

I'll try testing DTS tonight...I never was able to test it :D
remember you need Scenarist Professional..as the other two don't support DTS.

Hmm, strange. Besweet shouldn't have been run on DTS at all. I better recheck this.
Edit1:
Yeah, the DTS extraction doesn't work :(
Edit2:
If you select DTS as the firs audio stream (1) it should work.

At this point it just stops. Im launching Scenarist manually.
I'm also running Scenarist version 2.70.0241
And on that note, Scenarist just crashed trying to import Chicago again. Let me give the new version a try.

ok I'm willing to be this is the problem
audio\Extracted_audio_2.dts
in movie1.scp
it shows
Item=Audio Stream
{
Item=Audio Play
{
Data=Extracted_audio_2_FS1.dts
Start Time To Video=00:00:00:00
Resolution=NTSC
Drop Type=Drop frame
Start Time=00:00:00:00
Duration=00:36:17:04
}
Stream Number=2
Language=Not Specified
Synchronization=Yes
}
}
ok so I rename
Extracted_audio_2.dts to Extracted_audio_2_FS1.dts
and still it's a no go when trying to recover from muxing.
check your pm dvd2svcd
edit: would like to apologize if I screwed up. I was testing 1.2.1 build 1 with DTS audio as first selection then cancelled my test half way when I saw this beta 1a to try. For beta 1a I choose 5.1 as 1st audio and DTS as second. Was I suppose to choose DTS as my first audio still?

Yeah, I forgot to mention that. DTS and Frameselection is a nono, it wont work.

29th August 2003, 22:20
oh..ok...was trying to get you some 'quick' test results...no problem I hardly ever use frame selection anyways.
Just started it over without frame selection with 1a
5.1 is audio 1
DTS is audio 2

A quick way would be to just test a chapter ;
KungFuCow
29th August 2003, 23:22
Well.. I managed to get 1 chapter of Chicago to input into Scenario without subtitles. With subtitles, Scenario crashes on input. However, after getting everything loaded up, when I go to create the DVD video, Scenarist immediatley crashes. Obviously something is going on with the subtitles to keep it from inputing them all. I dont know what's happening with the video creating crashing but it's immediate. Scenarist doesn't put any sort of error up, just hard crashes with a Windows error message.
Also, Scenarist still doesn't load on it's own. My line in DVD2SVCD is as follows:
C:\Program Files\Sonic\Scenarist
Dunno if I need something I dont have or what. Also multiple copies are not running.
Thanks!
