Commercial DIVX disks

I still have a bunch of commerically produced DIVX movies that I purchased, but my player bellied up. These are the sold by the DIVX company to play on special DIVX players. They would call up to confirm playing rights.
Anyone have any ideas on how I might play them.
My attemps to decrypt or play them have been unsuccessful.

It was my understanding that the key to decrypt the disk was housed on a server which your hardware dialed into, something to that effect. Divx has been officially defunct for quite some time now. Those servers are long gone and so is your decryption code.

Obviously nothing is impossible, but considering that you have no way of accessing that code in any way, a divx disk could never be decrypted in any way similar to how a DVD is decrypted.

I think all those disks are good for now are coasters.
