Free After Rebate, that is.

I'm guessing most people are aware of this, but thought I'd throw it out here, nonetheless.

This package contains InstantCopy, version 7, I imagine. Don't know what kind of leverage buying this will give you for when version 8 comes out, but you never know.

Looks like they're taking orders again, today. It was sold out yesterday...

Ummm.

WOW!!

I'm reading $39.99 from Best Buy, free shipping.

and a $40 rebate from Pinnacle.

Am I missing something? They will pay me to take their software?

I think they're trying to clear the shelves in order to make way for the new versions... :)

Anybody have any idea if you will be getting free upgrades to version 8? I assume not.

According to what I've read, less than a third of people buying something with a rebate, actually ever get the rebate. Most don't apply and the rebate handling company rejects applications for any little reason.
Also it's important for companies to get people to start using their products. Microsoft has been practically giving away their stuff on new computers for that reason.

One of the great things about a computer is it can double as a planner(plus many other things). Always scan in copies of rebates (jpg, bmp). All of the requirements. Keep track of phone numbers, expiration dates, mailing dates (spreadsheet). Use windows appt calendar for received by dates(didn't get rebate yet). Follow up (personal effort). I was being a smarta** with the above. Seriously though, with a little effort you will always get your rebate. Even if you make a mistake filling out the rebate offer form you can still get it; even though the form says not. Look the company up on the internet. Write a nice stern letter to the CEO or company president. You not only get your rebate, but in most cases they will send a nice little freebie of some sort. If it is only a couple of dollars you need to decide if it is worth it. For me, it is the pricipal of the thing. When they make a promise they need to live up to it. Since I'm not made out of money, a $40.00 rebate is a mandatory follow up for me. In one case several years ago I bought a item and before I could get it the company went out of business. I went back to CompUSA and they gave me my rebate.

Yep.. you can definately always get your rebate

I bought a IPAQ from CompUSA with a $100 rebate with my credit card. My wife then filled out the rebate form and sent it in. They rejected it because they said the same person did not fill it out that bought it

I did two things, first I wrote a letter to the Attorney Generals Office and also sent a copy of it to CompUSA. About a week later I went down to the CompUSA store and talked to the manager personally. He gave me the rebate on the spot right out of the register.

To my surprise, I also received another check from CompUSA for $100 about 4 weeks later.

It will cost you $40 because you will not get the rebate.
Great marketing.

P.S. I was disapointed after I purchased it. Sizing is still a major problem. Wish I could get my money back.
