Newbe question

I have a vcd and want to convert it to DVD format.
how do I resize the picture so it fills the screen? Every time I've tried it has only encoded it in the original size with black bars around it...
Can you do this in CCE at all or do you have to use another program to resize it first?

VCD files will almost fix perfectly onto a DVD as it, the only bit to take notice of id GOP size;

having said that, some authoring programs may not set the .ifo to the right video format, but you can fix that with IFOEdit.

Can you explain that a bit closer?
Isn't it possible to use a avs file or something to tell CCE how to resize the movie?
What if I want to make a DVD from a avi file that has to be resized?

rather than reencode, just drop the vcd files into your authoring program (use besweet to upsample the audio to 48khz tho).

do the authoring, and after a compile, open the .ifo for the titleset and check that it has the right video settings set. (there is a couple of threads on the forum with more info)
