ok my problem is i have 2 programs in 1 vob file with same vob id 1 program is an extra i dont want and the other is a 1.15 sec's of nothing, and i was wondering if there is a way to delete the vob id and still be able to load the dvd into IC7 i am sure there was a way to trick it into thinking there was a vob file there but i cant find that in the guides anymore, and really need help with this, if anyone can help me it would be apreciated, i cant paste the vob id structure cos i cant work out how to copy and paste with ifoedit

thanx in advance

Load you VTS_0?_0.IFO in IFOEdit and click on "VOB extras".
Select:
- Strip VobID's
- Correct Vob-unit...
- Correct original IFO files
Click on "OK" and select all the VobID's but the one you want to delete.Click on "Strip it" and let IFOEdit process your VOB files.

Cells with (1.15 secs) of nothing are essential to DVD structure. IC7 rejects the project if one is missing.
But Menuedit can do the job easily for you. You keep the cell with 1,15 sec of nothing and replace the 'extras' cell with a blank one. Then IC7 will accept it. That's it.

If you remove a vobid somewhere in the middle of the sequence (for example, removing the 2nd vobid from a set of 4 vobids) and want to join it again, how would you do it? Would you replace the removed vobid with a dummy vob or 0 byte vob, or rename the vobs so that they'll be in sequence again?

Kryne,

You can use Guide 5 (http://www.deano.dsl.pipex.com/backup/ifoedit.htm) by Mr X. Treat it as the two cells (chapters) as one chapter, like the example given in the guide. After u done all steps in guide, open VIDEO_TS.IFO in IFOEdit. From the top window, select VMG_PTT_SRPT. Find the title u were working on, update the number of chapter. Save VIDEO_TS.IFO and its backup version. That's it.

If u r not clear about my explaination, pls ask.

Here's my version (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=60533) on doing this. You'll still keep the same vob ID for your first chapter. If you don't have a blank vob, MackemX has a VTS_0x_1.VOB in a downloadable "vobid.zip" file on his on-line guide. Click on the link in previous post.

@2COOL

I think you should edit your post, since in the link to your guide you typed "http://how to blank out a titleset with a single program chain/" and it obviously doesn't lead to anywhere ;)
BTW, thanks for your new guides, you're really working a lot for this community!
