Hi.
I have just started using DVD2SVCD and i must say that it seems to be a good program. However i have problems getting the sub's (svcd subtitle) to be shown on my Dvd player. Have tried pushing Subtitle on the remote control, with no results. What can i do to solve this problem?
Hope getting answers, to this minor problem.

Welcome to the forum.
DVD2SVCD is not just a good program. It's the best there is in the area of DVD-AVI->VCD-SVCD-DVD :) . I consider it the equivalent of a virtual Swiss Army Knife.
As for your Q: Read the FAQ (Sticky) or hit the search button. Every subtitle possibility has been encountered, discussed and solved.

First check here - http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers
do a search for your make and model of DVD player and see if it supports subs - SVCD or CVD or neither. It is possible to make an SVCD with CVD subs, or indeed a CVD with SVCD subs, so if your player only supports one type always use that type regardless of whether you are making CVD's or SVCD's. If neither type is supported then Permanent subs are the only ones that will work. These are added at the video encoding stage and therefore cannot be turned off.
Q17 in the Official Q+A. will get you some sample image files to download to try in your player if you are unsure what will work.
Everything here could easily have been found with a search on the word "subtitles" and a look at the Q+A. Please read the rules and stickies before you post again. It's a lot to get through but your English looks good so I think you would learn a lot of useful stuff in those stickies!
Good luck and enjoy the forum
