ffdshow wont start at all

I installed ffdshow alpha and it wont start at all so i cant do the configuration. I have windows xp pro OS. can someone help me plz ?

I don't know much about ffdshow but as far as I know its a codec that can't be executed. This codec will be loaded automaticaly by the directshow-components of the Windowssystem each time you ask a player to play a file.

You can configure those codecs only while they are loaded. For instance when you use Gabest Mplayer Classic the configuration-menues can be accessed from the 'View'-Menue.
