15 fps avi to VCD!

Hi,
How can I convert the 15 fps AVI movie clips taken by a digital camera to VCD? Camera is, in case it matters, Canon PowerShot A70.
I tried TMPG but it did not support the format. Any help would be appreciated?

i think you might not have the right codecs install, uses gspot, it will tell you what codecs you need to install so you can watch/encode your *.avi file

I can watch this movie clip without problems on many programmes such as WMP9, so this is not a codec issue.
All I want is to convert this 15 fps AVI to VCD format!

usually when tmpgenc doesn't support a format, it's mostly a codec problem or something, but since your able to watch your clip, i guess it isn't a codec problem.

You might want to try Dynapel MotionPerfect which can interpolate to a different framerate. I have tried it but sometimes the background moves behind moving front objects but you don't always notice it.

I have a Canon S50 digital camera. It use some kind of mjpeg compression.

Tmpgenc can deal with this as-is.
I'm not sure if it interpolates or just duplicates, but
I've often converted downloaded ASF files (15 fps) to
NTSC vcd. Didn't do anythng special - just chose the ntcs template.
Works great. (at least looks almost as good as the asf)

you have to convert the AVI to MPG1 - you *could* use TMPENC, CCE...or (what i do) Render it as MPEG1 with Vegas4.0. (The editing program i use).
After that i use Nero to burn a VCD. But Nero has problems if you want to make VCDs with menus - otherwise works.

) You can *greatly* enhance your 15fps vids (like i do, i have a S230 which gives me 640x480@15fps)

) use deshaker filter with vdubmod and deshake all my clips
) use Motionperfect (Dynapel) and convert the 15fps deshaked vids to 24fps..or you can even go and convert to 30fps..even better for VCD !

For all my editing *in between* i use HuffyUV codec 2.1.1 (2.2.0 does not work)....then i load my deshaked and fps-converted frames in vegas and render it to MPG1 (VCD NTSC template)....then burn the whole thing on VCD
