i would like to make vcd compliant videos using dvd2svcd but do not want the files split up as I am using svcd2dvd to reauthor todvd-r. I can't find any settings to change for this?

Change the disc size in the bitrate tab to 4410, and the corresponding time to however many hours (in minutes) you will fit on a DVD-R size VCD.

I am sorry I don't understand where to put it?

OK, in the "bitrate" tab of DVD2SVCD you have the time in minutes, and the disc sizes which is set out for 74 and 80 min. CD-R's.

My suggestion was to fool DVD2SVCD into making one really big VCD for you to use the contents for DVD-R.

If you click on the top disc size it will go blue and you can type in 4400 (instead of 740 or 800) which is a good starting size for DVD-R, then change the 50 min. to 360 min. (or whatever huge number you get for VCD bitrate!!!).You need to adjust all the times down the mins. column to be larger than the one above (down to the 9999 at the bottom) so you don't confuse DVD2SVCD.

I guess this sort of thing should work for VCD, I use it for DVD-R (but not VCD format).
