I have read somewhere that you can hange the registry value in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ATI Technologies\MultiMedia\Features\TV\Sound record volume. However what are exceptable values? I have tied many under decimal but MMC 8.5 keeps screwing up the sound of tv afterwards. I have AIW 9700 Pro OS:XP Pro

Actually the sound is probably being recorded through your sound card driver. Double click on the little speaker icon in your system tray. Should bring up a mixer panel (might be more than one page) and you can adjust recording volume there.

it didn't help any. I have tried everything else and the only thing that seems to work is the registry setting, except for mmc crashing or sometimes distorted sound. I am sure I just need the correct decimal settings.
