I have installed and configured the latest postings of Godian Knot per documentation. Very straight forward and easy to use. However I have one consistant problem that the volume is too low. I have noticed this even when playing the vob files using my ATI player. This leads me to think it is in the ripping process. If this is true, is there a way to set the volume prior to the rip process?

it must be an AC3 sound... you can configure Ac3filter which comes with GK packages to boost the volume...

Doesn't have to be Ac3 sound. Even when the sound is coneverted to mp3, the volume can still be very low.

Not if you used GK with default settings, i.e. azid usually normalize the stream...

@MHSitzer

Instead of using -hybridgain in the Audio Preferences of R4R, I always use an overall track gain of 25db (-g 25db). Try it! I am very satisfied with the results!

In the past I have not knowingly been using R4R. I have ran everything from GKnot. Does it execute R4R? Also if I understand you correctly, I should change the default of -ota( -hybridgain -d %delay% ) to -ota( -g 25db ).
Also for some strange reason, I have started getting spanish instead of english. (Don't se any obvious reason), I will check other forum.

You have to change it to -ota( -g 25db -d %delay% ) and make sure that you have selected English as Auto Select Languages at Audio Preferences in R4R!
