I am wondering if it is possible to automatically load two AVI files of the same name. For example, I just did a rip of Donnie Darko and I named it:

Donnie.Darko.XviD.AC3.CD1.avi
Donnie.Darko.XviD.AC3.CD2.avi

If Media Player Classic could automagically load the second part to avoid switching, that would be good... because I split it at an emotional point of the movie, and stopping to switch files is quite a buzzkill.

I believe that files should be loaded in this manner:

filename.CDx.avi where x is an integer between 1 and whatever.
Or maybe you have a better idea. It should just make sure to not autoload all the files of a TV episode series.

Is this possible? I know MPC already has autoloading of soundtracks and stuff which is named the same thing as the original file.

Haven't tried this with many players, but I can tell you that Blight has implemented basic automatic segment loading in the latest ZPlayer beta. More info here (http://forum.inmatrix.com/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi?s=3f44efdf4a80ffff&act=ST&f=7&t=2254).
It should just make sure to not autoload all the files of a TV episode series.
Erm...how do you expect a player to do that? It can't read your mind on what's a movie and what's a TV episode.

What I think would be cool if if just there was an option to play say, drive D completely, and then just start playing drive E. That would be perfect for 2cd disks. I wouldnt care if it played files in a certain order as usually its only one file on the disk anyways.

I copy them to my hd and then I load them in the playlist of zp and they play the one after the other.I could do this by placing the 1st cd in my cdr and the other in my dvd player

This is why playlists were invented...

true, was just thinking of something for ease of use. Using it as a htpc front end.
