i just got my new dvd burner (TDK440n)daul format plus and minus i burn my dvd using dvd decrypter and dvd2one then nero when i go burn my dvd+r in nero i get this message

invaild field comand
could not preform start up disk ot once
burn process failed

2 question
in nero what should be checked off for burning dvd

You are burning using disk at once.

State version of nero.
Also search the forum the setting for nero are posted many times

i'm using nero 6.0 and yes disc at once is check off sometimes nero works and burns the movie and most of the time i get that message

I suggest you to use ImgTool from CouJo - I have never had a problem with this tool and it is free :D. You can download it in doom9´s download page or directly from CouJo´s page here (http://www.coujo.de).

Yes you do
it take 3 major steps to copy a DVD.
1. decrypt (decss)
2. compress (if needed)
3. burn to DVDR


You have the software for the first three steps. You still need them. Do not use Nero for the first two steps.

You do seem to have Nero setting incorrect, but I gave up on Nero and now am using Burnatone(free). Sorry I can not help you. Generally I know it can work using video mode UDF-1.02, not data mode.

i would like to thank everyone that replied to my thread

i installed imgtool and i still get the same message( invaild fied command could not perform start up disc at once burn process failed)
could the fact that i running windows 98 have something to do with this i'm all out of ideas.

i forgot to mention this but it burners music cd on problem only when i go burn a dvd that it gives problem
