Guys it seems to me that DTS to MP3 transcoding is very very slow (approx 0.8x)...why?

try to delete the registry key curent user\software\intervideo\common\audiodec and restart your audio encoding.
PS: search in the forum Wilbert have already answer this question it seems to me.

Well the problem is not the MP3, it plays fine.
The problem is that the encoding process is terribily slow, and removing/changing regkeys doesn't help here :-(

I think you confused me with someone else :)
I seem to recall a discussion about this, but forgot the conclusions (if there were any) :(

Both uses the intervideo audio filter.... yes, i've heard of it. but zmAn isn't answering my emails...

That's a pity because DTS is really high quality and it should give better transcodings, especially with DSurround and DSurround2!
Anyway DSP maybe you could force the transcoding to go at full speed and NOT at 1x (maybe you could write some routines in besweet??)...like the option "Use clock" in Graphedit (under the "Graph" section) which permits you to ignore the clock speed...
PS: Keep writing to zman! ;)
