Using the most recent Koepi build and maxbf=3 I realized that I frames (http://chris.7thcircle.com/iframes.gif) are being used twice in a row. I know that with maxbf>0 the minimum i-frame distance is ignored, but I believe that the codec should search a little harder instead of adding two consecutive i-frames.
The way I had it explained to me, is that the I frames are only inserted when they are smaller then the equivalent P frame. Is this always the case?
