I have been using CCE2.67 with eclCCE since May and everything was working fine. I have encoded several avi to mpeg2 during this period. Today I tried to load CCE and the program never completely loaded. It only stayed on the taskbar and could not be maximized. I have done two things to my system during the last week that may have caused the problem. I installed and ran Gordian Knot for the first time which I believes uses avisynth 2.52, I had Avisynth 2.5 already installed on the system. I also ran a spybot prog to delete any spyware from the comp. I uninstalled cce and reinstalled and the prog will not run.
I would obviously like to avoid the old format c: but I don't know what to do and i refuse to use TMPGE. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

VC

I tried something else and got CCE to load but I dont know why still. I'm running Windows XP home and I decided to logon on as a new user, actually admin and load cce from admin. I was able to load the program with sucess. I suppose i can live with this because I was considering formatting my drve but I would like to if anyone may be able to explain what has happened.

Thanks in advance,

VC

Thanks for the advice. It's nice to seem my problems are not unique. Unfortunately the advice listed in the earlier thread did not work for me. Any other suggestion would be appreciated. Fortunately, I am still able to convert by opening CCE as a different user in XP. It's kind of a pain but its better than reformating drive.

Thanks for time,

VC

Or open HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Custom Technology\CCE SP Trial Version in RegEdit and delete the "list1 pos" values. This did not fix it?

I'm having this problem, but I can't seem to find RegEdit. Can someone tell me where it is?
