i burn my dvd's using first DVD Decrypter then DVD2ONE to compress it followed by nero to burn it to dvd+r but sometimes when im watching the burt movie, halfway through it starts to jump and skip all over the place (picture & sound) but the other half of the dvd's i burn come out fine.
have i got some setting wrong or am i using the wrong programs whats going on?????????:confused:

Sounds like another media problem. The skipping you describe is probably accompanied by loud blips in sound and blocks appearing on the video - this only happens when the DVD player is having trouble reading the disc. This could be crappy media, badly applied labels or maybe an incompatibility between you player and that brand of disc.
Try a different (decent) brand, I imagine the problem will mysteriously clear up.

i was using verbatim dvd+r blanks any good? if not what brand would you recommend?

Verbatim media should be fine.
The most likely explanation is that your player doesn't have the best compatibility with DVD+R. Switching to a different brand of media might help, or it might make it worse.
If possible, you should take one of the problem disks and see if you get the same behavior in a friend's stand-alone player.
I might also recommend that you try burning with DVDDecryptor. I've heard people complain mighty loudly about Nero (while others love it), but I've never heard anyone complain about DVDDecryptor.
