firewall

Is there a firewall which can disconnect all internet connections after a certain amount of time, or after the downstream/upstream is getting zero?

I found that thread too, but it doesn't answer my question. The link you gave me is more an information what kind of firewall people prefer and not the one with this specific function.
It could also be that I missed the answer in it. If yes, I am deeply sorry.

Tried google ;)? HackerSmacker (:D) firewall claims to do this as well as Ventura firewall. Never heard of these before, I couldn't tell you anything about theire merits a s firewall.

@Siber, that's ok I am not unforgiving.

@smiller667, you are right I could trie google. The only problem would be that I get a whole bunch of answers for different kind of firewalls, and not the one which is preferred by users. Though I haven't asked for the best one (rule 12) :D.

I don't know them either :) ... I just googled them up. In terms of reliability, I would personally go for the Kerio firewall, but that one doesn't have the feature requested.

Fischerbot: sygate personal firewall (http://smb.sygate.com/default.htm) does have this feature.
under tools -> advanced rules -> add -> scheduling.

should be what you're looking for.
