As the title says

Yes we know its not ready yet !!

but could u give us "foaming at the mouth users" a taste of whats to come in 0.29 gknot ?

we know there is going to be OGG possibly mkv

something about saving job lists (which is possibly the best of the things ive heard so far) and reordering them

any other hints would be appreciated

It really is the best program and has come up in leaps and bounds since becoming open source. Thanks to Lennox and all the developers.

PS if you dont want to reveal any details pls say so just dont flame me!!

Apart from OGM/MKV support (which seem not all that easy atm) and new job engine I'd like (not necessary will) to implement the following:

1) One pass encoding
2) Mutiple pass encoding resumed from a particular pass
3) Advanced filter window (actually the glouch has already done something about it)
4) more robust divx5 encoding (i.e. backing up logs and option to backup avi after each pass)
5) support for new encoding strategy with divx5.1 (when it's out)

WOW thanks for that!!

some of those sound amazing (although) ogm stuff is the thing im really looking forward too :>

Would it be hard to encode the credits with 2 (or more) passes (still separate from the main movie) keeping the very low bitrates like now cos theyll look soo much better while not taking up any extra room and hardly any extra time even if doing 6 passes (on the credits )
