Problem burning Princo DVD-RW

The last three days I've been burning a Princo DVD-RW with a DVDMaestro re-authoring project. I'm using a Pioneer A-105 and Stomp RecordNow Max 4.1. I've tried setting Stomp to max and min recording speed and changed some options in my DVDMaestro project but the Princo DVD-RW can't be played by my Pioneer DV-525 standalone player.

Could it be because the media is rubbish or because I'm burning the Princo DVD-RW in a wrong way?

The DVD structure is recorded properly and all files are accesible.
I've tried playing the DVD in my computer, using several DVD software players but nothing happened. I just could play each vob file separately.

Well, I finally discovered that Princo DVD-RW is just rubbish...
A few days ago I could get a Verbatim DVD-RW (1x... my god!!!). I burned my DVDMaestro project disc image and I was so happy when my DVD player (Pioneer DV-525) played it without any problem!

RWs are the great black hole. I have a cheapo Daewoo set top that does fine with Princo RWs, while my Sony won't. On the flip side, any name brand RW (Verbatim, TDK or Memorex) works fine in the Sony, but the Daewoo won't recognize them.

Bottom line is RWs are for seeing if you put all the pieces together correctly in DVDMaestro (that's what I use them for), usually checked from the computer. The Rs are for the final burn.

Well true to some degree...but DVD recorders use DVD-RW a lot in this VR mode. ONce you're finished you can finalize it and then play it in any DVD player that is DVDRW compatible. I don't think any of my plaeyrs are compatible with that new VRO standard though

What is "VRO" standard ?

I have a Princo 1x RW that works just fine - session closed or finalized - makes no difference on my settops (cheapos)
