Adding second audio track to movie

Hi!

I really like DVDLab because it is very easy to create good looking menus and it has everything I need, BUT I can only add one audio track for a movie. Is it possible to add the second audio track later (perhaps with ifoedit)?

If you are starting with original material its no problem to produce a second audio track.
For instance VideoDeLux alows 16 tracks and you can output the film twice - each with its own audio. The resultant mpeg files have identical video but if you strip them (demux) then you get two mpa files that you can use with one of the two video streams to Author in ifoedit. Ifoedit muxes it all back together.

So open your vts_01_0.ifo with ifoedit aand save the CellTimes to a txt file. Then open your VOB with VOBedit and hit DEMUX. Choose all video and all audio. Open Ifoedit again and choose Author DVD from the menu. Here you point it to the Video, 2 Audio streams and Celltimes.TXT

Well, I'm new to this and I can't understand what to do.
My Problem: I have two movies I want to burn as one DVD. Each movie has two audio tracks (german and english). Now it is no problem to make menus on the DVD with DVDLab, but only with one audio track. I have the original mpv, mpa and ac3 files. Should I now author two DVDs one time with german soundtrack and one time with english soundtrack and then get them somehow together?

You have two movies that are already authored as DVDs and you want to put them together with a menu from DVD Lab?

Well there is no point in re-authoring them with DVD LAB - too much work for nothing because they already work and have chapters and have been muxed professionally, right ?

Changing audio is a job on my list but for now you can change with the remote.

Sorry, but that's not exactly what I want.

Well, I should start form the beginning:
I have a DVB Card for the PC so that I can capture the mpeg2 streams directly off the satellite. Now I have captured two movies and want to burn them on a dvd. Each movie has a German and an English audio track. Now I want to author both movies on one DVD and make a menu ,a movie selection and a chapter selection. Now building menus with DVDLab is very comfortable (and DVDLab is cheap) so I wanted to use it to author the DVD. But I have two soundtracks for each movie and DVDLab does not support that. So my question was that if it is possible to author the dvd with DVDLab with one audio track and then add the second one for each movie afterwards. Or do I have to use another authoring program (I like DVDLab because it is flexible and easy to use while other programs are either flexible or easy to use).

Use Ifoedit - Menu / DVDAuthor / Author DVD
You need to seperate the streams first with Tmpeg or Xmuxer.

Please try and explain what you want from the begining - takes the guess work and wrong answers out of it.

Ok, I'll try.
Well I have six files:
movie1.mpv
movie1.ac3
movie1.mpa
movie2.mpv
movie2.ac3
movie2.mpa

I want:
A DVD with both films on one DVD with a menu (movie selection and chapter selection). But I have only DVDLab which makes great menus, but can handle only one audio track. But I want both audio tracks (mpa and ac3) and a good menu.

I hope that makes things clearer.

Ok, with you now.

Try this:
Make each film without a menu in DVD Lab. This is only so you get chapter points to navigate with. So do a good job setting them.
All you need from that is:
vts_01_0.ifo
vts_01_1.vob
vts_01_2.vob
vts_01_3.vob etc.

Open vts_01_0.ifo with IFOEDIT and click on VTS_PGCITI / PGC_1,
in the menu choose "Save Cell Times to file" - thats your chapters
in a file called Celltimes.txt.
At this point I'm not sure whether (a) is neccessary so you could try going straight to (b) first.
(a)Open vts_01_1.vob with VOBEDIT and hit DEMUX. Near the bottom of the window choose "Demux all Video streams" which outputs an mv2 stream.
(b)Open IFOEDIT and in the menu choose "DVD Author / Author new DVD".
In the new window enter your video, both audio streams and the Celltimes.txt that you saved before.

Repeat that for the second film. Then follow my guide.

Trying to make it all in one go and then adding the second audio tracks will not work because you wont be able to join the two audio streams together and still be in sync - at least I don't know of a way.
