I have burnt a dvd using ULeadDVDMovieFactory2 with NTSC format without success. The picture is jerky and audio is out of sync.This was an avi file I had downloaded which was in NTSC format. Because I previously have had success with PAL format I have been experimenting converting from NTSC to PAL. I have encoded the original NTSC avi file to PAL format DVD with TMPG, and I have converted the audio file to PAL with BeSweet. The resulting files are both the same length so I think I am on the right track.Which brings me to my problem, How do I go about making these 2 files into one DVD file ready to burn?. If I try to load the DVD file into TMPG I get an illegal operation.

Hi welcome to the forum
You need a program that can multiplex the elementary streams (video and audio) to a dvd program stream (vob file). You can use a lot of different authoring programs for this:
Ifoedit (free)
DVDlab (demo available)
TMPEG dvd author (demo available)
Maestro
Scenarist
just to name a few of a lot of different options.

thanx for the welcome - which of these programs will allow me to load the video source as a dvd file (infoedit asked for m2v file)

I don't know what format your file is now? All authoring programs which require elementary streams expect a m2v file.

Ok, I'm stumped, and am ready to give up..
How do I author to DVD using DVD-lab ??
* I've dragged my .m2v(video) and .mp2(audio) file
* open a Menu 1
* created a square box
* right-clicked the square and set LINK to my movie
* right-clicked the square again
* Set as First Button
.
.
* Complied DVD ...here, I was assuming I was creating an VOB, which
is what I'm after in the first place.
When I compile the DVD, it goes through the motions, but all I see
are two .bmp files and NO .VOB files!!
I'm only testing out DVDlab because of all the hype about it.
My main goal was to:
* Create a working VOB file, using an encoded 16x9 source .m2v
* and, with a successful VOB file, I was going to feed into winDVD
...to see if it will finally play at 16x9 (not 4:3) because PDVD
...plays my 16x9 perfectly.
Any help would be appreciated.

FWIW with DVD-Lab...
:rolleyes: I just did a test, and dragged an already made VOB file
that I just created w/ DVD-Lab, and it accepted it just fine. However,
it does ask you if you want to de-MUX it etc. before importing/adding
the VOB file :)
