i think i have lots of crappy old codecs on my system and i want to remove the non essential (the ones that stop windows from crashing) ones.

I have dxman (analoguex.com) but in the readme it says there are some (quartz.dll) that should not be removed. Are there any others that i should be aware of before i go about clicking delete??

btw i have done a forum search, but it returns nothing usefull

Thanks Frosty

DxMan shows you all the plugins and direct show filters on your system.
You need to look at each ones properties first to see what they are and do.
If you're in doubt make a Drive Image before you start.
