Hello

I checked all lot of websites to my problem but I'm new to this stuff
and do not understand all of the intricate complex timing issues.

My problem is this:
1) divx file MPEG III layer audio at 48HZ/163 sampling/bitrate
2) audio cuts off just at the very end about 10+ frames left.
3) didn't notice this until I burned to dvdr.( while watching on
tv)

I used VDUB 1.5.4.1 latest version at the time to Save to WAV
and frameserve video file.

Then I used TMPGEnc(2.5PLus, latest) to re-encode divx(Xvid) file to ".m2v" output file.
Next I used AC3 machine(latest stable) to output to ".ac3".

Finally I used TMPGEnc DVD Author(latest) to make ".vob" and burn to dvdr.

I used the basic or prescribed settings for most of the programs above.

I've burned 3(divx) dvdr's successfully with no audio lag until I ran
into this anime movie(divx). Otherwise it was a great project!
I watched the original .avi(divx) file to see if it was the same,
but it was not it played right to the end audio and all.

So I used "DVDM'tro" to check for lag in the audio and wella
off by some 25 seconds. I used DVDM'tro to resync audio but
I still get the same problem no audio on the last 10 frames.

I have re-done all the steps again but still get the same result.
I'm not sure what else is left?!? Frustrated.

I went back through each process to look at the way I might have
missed something or so. But I can't think of anything other than
the WAV file being extracted improperly by VirtualDub. Or the
AC3 Machine skipping a few beats. Or the .avi for some reason
fails to release the right info during extract. Either way I am
not blaming the software or the file. It's very odd to see this.

I went to as many posts as possible but I'm not seeing a fix or
something I may have missed. Does anyone have a post or fix
relevant to this issue?

I would greatly appreciate any and all words of wisdom.

Thank you for hosting this great site! without it I would
be a wretched hermit staring at walls.

After much work, I found that VirutalDub 1.5.4 was the problem.

I used VDubMod instead to get the correct audio length.

Used the options to not modify current audio to whatever
the popup suggests in VDubMOD, then Save to WAV "uncompressed".

That was it.

I'm using VirtualDub 1.5.4 build 16297.
VDubMOD 1.5.4.1 2066.
